Bus No. 200E (blue) also leaves from the terminal building for Kőbánya-Kispest station, where you may take metro line No. 3 (blue line) to the city centre. It takes approximately one hour to get to the centre by public transportation.
Tickets for public transportation priced at 450 HUF (ca. 1, 2 EUR) are available at the airport from BKK at its customer service points, the post office, the newsagents (Relay), and ticket machines at the bus stop. A ticket from the bus driver is also possible for 450 HUF (1,5 EUR).
The post office is located on the mezzanine level of Terminal 2A, where 24-, 72-hour, weekly, and monthly travel passes for Budapest public transport are also available.
Newsagents only sell single tickets, 10-piece ticket booklets and short-section tickets.
At the Tourist Information—Budapest Info Point counters located on the arrivals levels of Terminals 2A and 2B, 24-, 48-, and 72-hour Budapest Cards are also available. In addition to numerous discounts, these cards offer unlimited use of public transportation during their validity period.
Taxis are also available. The taxi company at the airport is Főtaxi. The fare is approximately EUR 40-50. The taxis have credit card readers (please check in advance with the driver).

The Forint (HUF) is the official national currency, and it is convertible. The exchange rates applied in Budapest banks, official exchange offices, and hotels may vary. All the major credit cards are accepted in Hungary in places displaying the emblem at the entrance.Many stores and other places accept Euro as well.
VISA, EC/MC, and American Express credit cards are generally accepted in most restaurants, cafés, shops, and petrol stations. Still, it would be best to ask or look for the logo before ordering a service.
